“I feel better knowing that when my 88-year-old mother goes to the basement to do laundry or drives to the grocery store she can get help if she needs it.”

Falls Should Be Taken Seriously — Here’s Why
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers this sobering information about falls among older adults:
- Every 2.3 seconds a senior over the age of 65 falls.
- Nearly 75 percent of all falls occur inside or in the immediate vicinity of the home.
- Falls are the leading cause of both fatal and nonfatal injuries among older adults.
- Injuries due to falls — cuts, hip fractures, or head injuries — can limit mobility and the ability to live independently as well as increase the risk of early death.
While falls can’t be predicted, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be prepared if one happens. After a fall, a cell phone might slip out of reach or even shatter. Pull cords in apartments are stationary and might not be located close enough to be used. Wearing a CallSafe Help Button allows you to be prepared for an emergency yet remain independent. CallSafe is a proven and reliable safety net. Don’t wait until after an accident occurs. Be prepared. Be Safe with CallSafe.
