Corewell Health Hosts Joint-Relief Seminars Across Southwest Michigan

(ST. JOSEPH) - Corewell Health is hosting a series of joint-relief orthopedic community seminars throughout July. During each 45-minute presentation, local Corewell Health orthopedic specialists will discuss the latest techniques for addressing hip, knee, and shoulder pain and how new, less-invasive surgical solutions are providing higher quality outcomes for treating arthritis and worn-out joints.

All events are free to join, and attendees may bring along a partner, relative, neighbor or friend who is experiencing joint pain or interested in learning more.

“I want community members to know they don’t have to suffer with joint pain for years; relief solutions are available now,” said Jeffrey Postma, DO, Corewell Health orthopedic surgeon. “Our patients frequently share how they are excited to get back to golfing, traveling, gardening, and just being present with their families. The one phrase patients add about the activities they’re now enjoying after a total joint replacement is, ‘without pain.’”

“Dr. Loafman and I will focus on discussing new innovations in total knee and hip replacements,” shares Kenneth Edwards, MD, Corewell Health orthopedic surgeon. “We will discuss the post operative recovery process for these surgeries and how people can expect great improvements to their lives.”
